What Roland V-Drum Kit does Neil Peart use?
I have seen him in many pictures with a V-Drum Kit. The sound module is not displayed in any of the pictures so I am having a difficult time figuring out what the kit is. I am planning on getting an electronic drum set, and my budget is under $3000. So if the kit happens to be out of my budget please list a few drum kits that are good alternatives. Thank you.

I believe he uses the roland TD-20. this retails for around 5k$, but i have seen it on craigslist for just over 3k$. try the TD-12. its the next step down from the TD-20 (which is top of the line, flagship) but costs about 1500 less. i actually just bought a td-12 and its amaaaaazing. i found it on craigslist for 2000$ (which is on the cheaper side, but average is probably around 2500 used). the td-12 is very similar to the TD-20. the 20 just has tons more features which i dont know how and will never know how to use lol. when i was shopping for mine, i looked for TD-8 or higher. the 8 module has the dual trigger system and for the hi-hat too. so check those out.
Don’t know what he uses but I would assume someone like Peart would use their top of the line set, the TD-20, which sells for about $7000 at most online music outlets. I play a Pearl Master’s series kit triggered by ddrum pro triggers and a very expensive ddrum controller so it takes one helluva electronic kit to stack up to what I play. I tried out the TD-9 about a month ago and was just blown away. The sounds, the stick response, just everything was awesome. They run $2695 and will be the best kit out there for under $3000. The built-in jam tracks are a freakin’ blast to play with.
